The version in force at the moment your deposit is taken is the version that governs your booking. Superseded versions 2.1 (1 February 2024) and 2.2 (1 March 2025) remain available on request and continue to apply to bookings deposited under them.
Your contract is with Long Meridian Viagens Lda, a company registered in Portugal under NIPC 515 402 118 at Rua do Século 118, 1200-435 Lisboa, and registered with Turismo de Portugal as a travel agent and tour operator under RNAVT 8412. We are the principal for every week sold on this site. We are not acting as agent for another operator and no third party licence applies to your booking.
Every week sold on this site is a package under Directive (EU) 2015/2302, transposed in Portugal by Decreto-Lei 17/2018. You will be given the standard information form setting out your key rights before you pay, including your right to transfer the booking to another person, your rights where we change a significant term of the package, and your right to cancel without charge if the price rises by more than 8 per cent.
Your money is protected against our insolvency by the Fundo de Garantia de Viagens e Turismo, the statutory Portuguese travel guarantee fund, which refunds sums paid and covers repatriation where necessary. We additionally hold civil liability insurance of €1,000,000 with Atlântica Seguros under policy 0442-118-6, as required of every registered Portuguese operator.
Travel insurance is a condition of every booking. Your policy must provide at least €2 million of emergency medical treatment and repatriation, cover for walking on unmade paths up to 1,000 metres, and cancellation cover to the full value of your booking. We require the insurer, the policy number and the 24-hour assistance number 45 days before departure and we may refuse travel without them.

By days before departure: 60 or more days, deposit only · 59 to 43 days, 40 per cent of the week · 42 to 29 days, 60 per cent · 28 to 15 days, 80 per cent · 14 days or fewer, 100 per cent. Charges are of the total price excluding insurance.

Both are set per week rather than across the company, and both are printed on that week's own page, above its dates. Holding a place is free; a hold expires at the time stated in the email we send you and the place then returns to sale.

Prices are fixed in euros once your deposit is taken, except for genuine changes in transport costs, fuel, taxes or exchange rates, and never later than 20 days before departure. We absorb the first 2 per cent. Above 8 per cent you may cancel with a full refund.

Each week states its minimum. If it is not met we notify you at least 60 days before departure and you choose a transfer at the same price, a credit valid for 24 months, or a full refund paid within 14 days.
